Welcome
Welcome to the Earth Chatter Archive page.
Earth Chatter is my personal blog where I write about animal and environmental issues happening throughout the planet. To eliminate congestion and confusion, I created this site to store older posts. In a nut-shell, this is the Earth Chatter Library. Feel free to look around.

It is time to end whale hunting
Our voices and petitions do make a difference. This was proven when the EU banned seal products in May which is a major blow to the commercial seal hunting industry. There is now another marine animal in need of our attention. The whale.
Despite the International Whaling Commission (IWC) ban of commercial whaling in 1986, several countries still participate in the brutal and senseless activity. Iceland and Norway are the chief murderers and Japan is in the process of finding a loop hole to start murdering these magnificent and severely endangered animals. The whaling season has already begun and will continue well into the fall.
But we can help the whales like we did the seals. Take action by signing the online petition. Tell your family and friends to follow suite. And perhaps the most important thing you can do is stay informed. Please follow these links, What's at stake and Whales in Peril. Education is the biggest weapon we have and by educating ourselves, we can educate others. Hopefully, by the end of the whaling murder season, we can win a victory for future generations of whales.
