Welcome to the Earth Chatter Archive page.

Earth Chatter is my personal blog where I write about animal and environmental issues happening throughout the planet. To eliminate congestion and confusion, I created this site to store older posts. In a nut-shell, this is the Earth Chatter Library. Feel free to look around.

Rising Gas Prices = Energy Efficiency

Yesterday I went to get gas in my car and the price for regular unleaded was $3.89. My parents told me that in the town they were driving through the price for the same was $3.99. No doubt within the next few days the price for regular unleaded will be four dollars or more. It is easy to blame the big corporate suits making billions of dollars off of us consumers but there is always two sides to every story and the current prices of gas in no exception. It is time that we all start pressuring car companies to start building cars that are energy efficient. We need to stop being so materialistic by buying useless Hummers and gas guzzlers. We need to demand vehicles that are safe and efficient. There is no reason why such a car can not be stylish as well. We should start boycotting, picketing and letting our voices be heard instead of standing back complaining.
