A Worcester's buttonquail (shown right) was recently photographed at a local market in the Philippines and then eaten shortly afterward. Thought to be extinct, the only representation of the buttonquail was through decade's old illustrations in museums. Michael Lu, President of the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines, told the press it is sad that the local population is not conscious about threatened wildlife and made the following statement: "What if this was the last of its species?"Humans!
