The EU (European Union) voted to allow farmers to leave dead livestock in their fields in an attempt to provide food for starving vultures. Farmers were required to remove all dead animals after the mad cow epidemic, but they can now leave them for the vultures so long as the carcasses are proven disease free. Vultures, which can be described as Mother Earth's cleaners, are capable of disposing of deceased animals in a matter of hours.
