Welcome
Welcome to the Earth Chatter Archive page.
Earth Chatter is my personal blog where I write about animal and environmental issues happening throughout the planet. To eliminate congestion and confusion, I created this site to store older posts. In a nut-shell, this is the Earth Chatter Library. Feel free to look around.

IWC update is nothing but indecision
The International Whaling Commission annual meeting ended over a week ago. Unfortunately, the main decision reached by the international whaling community was to not decide anything. Rather, it was agreed to meet again in a year to discuss proposals left on the table including lifting the ban on commercial whaling along with increasing quotas on whaling kills for those countries allowed to continue with the murderous practice. The only real good that came out of the meeting was dialog. After all it is better to communicate than to sit back and not do a thing. In addition, the current whaling ban is still in affect.
