Welcome to the Earth Chatter Archive page.

Earth Chatter is my personal blog where I write about animal and environmental issues happening throughout the planet. To eliminate congestion and confusion, I created this site to store older posts. In a nut-shell, this is the Earth Chatter Library. Feel free to look around.

Global Warming caused by planetary trends...

A new phone survey conducted by the Rasmussen Reports found that the number of people believing that global warming is the result of planetary trends (i.e. naturally occurring changes) rose from 35% in 2006 to 44%. (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/01/19/report-percent-voters-blame-planetary-trends-global-warming/).

It is refreshing to think that people are finally starting to look beyond what the far-left media is throwing at us. Ever since global warming has become a hot topic, I've held the belief that human activity is not the sole cause. I concur that human activity such as pollution and increased carbon emissions results in negative conditions. However, a look at our planet's climate throughout history shows that changes in our planet's climate is largely due to natural trends such as tectonic plate shift, volcanic activity, and erosion of top soils. In no way am I suggesting or hinting that we abandon the need to curb our polluting habits. But I do think and strongly encourage that we gather all the facts about this scary problem.

  1. Right on. Our climate has been changing every day for eons. since long before humans influenced the atmosphere.

But that kind of talk won't make money for anyone...

BTW, I read a funny - unsubstantiated but funny - statistic. Of the 1.8 million who witnessed the inauguration on the Mall, only 14 missed work. LOL
