Welcome

Welcome to the Earth Chatter Archive page.

Earth Chatter is my personal blog where I write about animal and environmental issues happening throughout the planet. To eliminate congestion and confusion, I created this site to store older posts. In a nut-shell, this is the Earth Chatter Library. Feel free to look around.

29 species tagged for possible federal protection

The US Fish and Wildlife Service announced today that 29 species may be in need of federal protection. The break down of the species include 20 plants, 6 mollusks, 2 insects and 1 fish. Before a ruling can be made, however, further research and information about such issues as habitat range and causes to population decline must be conducted. Should these species be declared in danger, protection will be granted under the Endangered Species Act.
